Description

The successful candidate will ideally be a time served Electrical Technician along with a HND or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline, alongside the following key competencies:

Skills and Competencies:

•Good electrical and mechanical knowledge with the ability to fault-find.
•Knowledge of the food industry and process systems.
•Knowledge of steam boilers, refrigeration, compressed air plant and associated site services.

Senior Technician/Supervisor

Role Specification:

Working as part of a small team, the position involves the management of the M&E team to ensure all operations, maintenance and repair works to Mechanical and Electrical equipment are carried out in line with contract specifications. The candidate will act as part of the management team for the site, concentrating on Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) operations, maintenance and repair and working closely with the Operations Manager, including covering for this manager in his absence.

The successful candidate will ideally be a time served Electrical Technician along with a HND or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline, alongside the following key competencies:

Skills and Competencies:

•Good electrical and mechanical knowledge with the ability to fault-find.
•Knowledge of the food industry and process systems.
•Knowledge of steam boilers, refrigeration, compressed air plant and associated site services.
•Excellent numerical and literacy skills, with the ability to write reports, proposals and quotations.
•Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise; along with the ability to carry out audits and surveys of M&E equipment to ensure standards are maintained in line with good industry practise and budget maintenance plan (BMP).
•Knowledge of PLCs and programming.
•Good knowledge of IT systems including Planned Preventative Maintenance systems.
•A strong knowledge of and ability to demonstrate leadership in Health and Safety.
•COSHH awareness.
•Ability to liaise with the customer in a professional manner.
