This international cost consultancy is expanding its global business including their Dublin operations to serve its local clients and growing number of multinational clients. For this reason they now seek suitably qualified and experienced senior project managers on a range of interesting and exciting projects.

MAIN PROJECTS

This cost consultancy are working on a number of infrastructural projects through Dublin. One of their most prestigious projects is a major rail project estimated to be worth 34 billion that will run through Dublin and will certainly keep the suitable Senior Project Manager busy for the next 10 years. This is a PPP project and this particular cost consultancy is responsible for the design, build, finance, maintenance and operations of the project
Due to their major infrastructure projects within greater Dublin there is a requirement for Senior Project Managers for several Utilities Diversion packages in congested road locations. These include Surface and Foul drainage, Water mains, Gas network and distribution pipes, communications services.
These are very restricted sites with the requirement for no disruption to local businesses or residents and will require a high degree of pre-planning and interface with Utility Providers and Local Authorities.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Advising at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client's overall objectives.
• Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
• Planning for and the ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
• Working within the project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project.
• Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan.
• Advising upon the procurement of resources.
• Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team.
• Monitoring and applying performance management techniques, including the use of KPI's to improve project performance.
• Managing the change control process.
• Monitoring and advising upon project finances.
• Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
• Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports.
• Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• You should be member of RICS, CIOB or APM or similar with a background in project management.
• You should have at least 5 years experience of working on similar projects (Utilities/ Infrastructure).
• You should be able to work as part of strong team and also using your own initiative.
• Ideally you will have experience of managing a team, including external design and other consultants.
• Experience is essential in pre-planning and stake holder management.
