SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER- ROAD- LEADING GLOBAL COST CONSULTANCY
This international cost consultancy is expanding its global business including their Dublin operations to serve its local clients and growing number of multinational clients. For this reason they now seek suitably qualified and experienced senior project managers on a range of interesting and exciting projects.
MAIN PROJECTS
This cost consultancy are working on a number of infrastructural projects through Dublin. As part of a major infrastructure project in Dublin there is a requirement to widen an existing dual carriageway to provide a wider and re-aligned meridian. A Senior Project Manager is required with the following responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Advising at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client's overall objectives.
• Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
• Planning for and the ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
• Working within the project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project.
• Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan.
• Advising upon the procurement of resources.
• Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team.
• Monitoring and applying performance management techniques, including the use of KPI's to improve project performance.
• Managing the change control process.
• Monitoring and advising upon project finances.
• Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
• Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports.
• Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
THE REQUIREMENTS
• You should be member of RICS, CIOB or APM or similar with a background in project management.
• You should have at least 5 years experience of working on similar projects (Utilities/ Infrastructure).
• You should be able to work as part of strong team and also using your own initiative.
• Ideally you will have experience of managing a team, including external design and other consultants.
• Experience is essential in pre-planning and stake holder management.
