This well established UK based company, part of an international group, is a market leader in the design and manufacture of a wide range of equipment sold worldwide. Operating at the leading edge of technology (optics, electronics, mechanics and pneumatics), they have a Research & Development team of some 50 multi disciplined engineers.
Reporting directly to the R&D Director, the duties of this senior role will be focussed on ensuring that all new products and equipment designs comply with the relevant directives, regulations and standards with particular reference to the European CE mark.
In addition to maintaining and improving the necessary systems and procedures framework, you will work closely with R&D engineers and assist them with assessments/testing and documentation to ensure full compliance with all required legislative and regulatory requirements.
Candidates will be degree qualified with experience of managing regulatory/standards compliance and have some familiarity with machinery, low voltage and EMC directives. Your well developed interpersonal and communication skills allied to a commercial outlook with enable you to proactively resolve problems.
