Specific Functions
To be responsible for the preparation of tender documents ensuring that:
The enquiry meets the agreed criteria for content, delivery time, and potential margins.
The client agreed returns date is met.
The companys policy on financial margins is maintained for the tender.
To make recommendations for advertising in trade journals and any other media that may be appropriate.
To assist in the preparation of any exhibition exhibits and make recommendations.
To liase and discuss with the potential client, in preparation of any enquiry documents and the assessment of various technical solutions to the enquiry.
Other
To assist Engineering Department with technical support during the contract.
To investigate/develop new products and systems as approved by management.
To attend meetings with existing/prospective clients to promote the Company, new products etc.
Health & Safety
To be conversant with and implement the Company Safety Policy.
To be conversant with and implement all relevant Company Health and Safety requirements contained in Safety Manuals, Procedure Manuals and Standards Manuals.
To make certain at the estimating stage that adequate provision is made for the necessary safety and welfare facilities and equipment to avoid dangerous hazards and to ensure that conformity with statutory regulations including the C.D.M. Regulations has been included in the estimate.
To liase with the Company Health and Safety Manager on all aspects of safety, and to consult and co-operate with the Safety Representatives and representatives of employee safety.
Quality Assurance
To understand and implement the Company Quality policy, Quality Manual, Company Procedures and standards that apply to tendering activities.
