This is an ideal opportunity to join an expanding business, with offices in several areas of the UK and the near continent.The ideal individual, could be employed either on a staff or contract basis,and will have 10 years experience gained working with the design and specification of a variety of rotating equipment to API standards, particularly in:-
• Gas Turbines and Compressors
• Steam Turbines
• Electric motor driven compressors (axial & centrifugal)
• Gas seal systems
Ideally the candidate will have spent some time at site having performed commissioning activities on a variety of Rotating Equipment.
This position is in a supervisory capacity to plan, develop, coordinate, and direct large engineering projects, with many complex features to meet technical and environmental requirements.
Specific duties include;
• Acting as an advisor and consultant in their capacity as a rotating equipment specialist, with particular emphasis on input to FEED projects.
• Acting as technical specialist to develop and evaluate plans and criteria for the cost effective requisitioning of a variety of Rotating Equipment.
• Assessing the feasibility and cost effectiveness of proposed engineering ideas and developing the necessary supporting data as required.
• Preparing and checking the basis of design, specifications, data sheets, requisitions, technical bid evaluations and drawings.
• Provision of technical recommendations on the selection of equipment to meet project requirements.
• Acting as customer representative for FAT and performance string testing
• Developing rotating equipment expertise within the company, including the mentoring and coaching of more junior staff.
