Roads & Traffic Engineer - Nationwide
Our Client is a multi-disciplinary Design Consultancy servicing the civil and structural engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, environmental services, town planning, quantity surveying and project management sectors.
Our client now employs more than 600 staff in Ireland across 9 different offices.
As a result of this continued success our Client is now seeking to recruit experienced Roads & Traffic Engineers for their offices nationwide
The successful candidate will manage a wide range of projects from major roads to Junction improvements for planning and will be involved in the design and supervision of a mix of road design, safety audit and traffic impact assessment projects. The role will involve detailed design, development of specifications and the review of projects prepared by others in the office. Liaison with Clients, architects and other design team members is an important aspect of the position.
You will have the financial management of projects, you will prepare designs in compliance with Irish standards and local authority requirements, Liaise with county councils, national roads authority, contractors and other consultants relating to road design issues, prepare engineering documents, reports and contract documentation along with Assisting in marketing of the Roads services across the Country
You should have a minimum of 5 years experience in either road design or traffic engineering. You should be Chartered or approaching Chartership status. A good knowledge of MX Roads and an ability to work on your own initiative and to met deadlines. Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills are pre-requisite for the position.
