Salary Negotiable + Benefits
Our client is a management consultancy that specialises in dealing with Risk Management within the Oil and Gas sector. They are seeking to expand and fill vacancies within project risk management, and more particularly quantitative risk analysis.
They are a consultancy company and so the candidates must be happy to be client-facing and to travel mainly in the UK with some trips abroad. However most of the work is office based.
They would consider a range of candidates, from less-experienced individuals with a couple of years' risk management to more senior people with a background in practicing risk analysis.
The successful Risk Consultant will have excellent analytical skills and will be required to develop complex schedule and/or cost risk analysis models for monte-carlo simulation.
People with a technical background or qualification (engineering, maths or physics degree for example) may be more likely to encompass this mindset, although that is not to preclude people with other standards of qualification.
They will also be developing risk models using the Pertmaster software tool; however experience in this is of secondary importance to finding the right person.
Other software they use includes Crystal Ball and @RISK.
The majority of the work is in the oil and gas industry. Experience and background in this industry is a bonus, but is not a prerequisite - the principles and methodology of risk analysis can be applied to any industry so experience of similar activities on other industries is quite acceptable.
