SRMA141 Reservoir Engineering Advisor
Subsurface team is seeking an experienced reservoir engineer to work on a three week on/three week off or four week on/four week off rotational schedule opposite the Team Leader to provide classical reservoir engineering expertise in support of daily reservoir management.
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Identify, evaluate, recommend and implement recommendations for optimizing the performance of existing and start-up water and gas injection projects, including multi-well development drilling programs
•Generate and maintain Hess-independent categorized reserve estimates and associated production projections for all assets using decline curve, material balance and volumetric recovery methods
•Assist the team with developing and presenting the annual Field Development Plan.
•Periodically function as the Subsurface Team Leader
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
•Proven relevant experience. Prior international experience beneficial, but not required
•Demonstrated ability to evaluate and monitor the performance of water and gas injection projects and proactively identify, evaluate and recommend specific opportunities for project optimization and expansion
•Well-developed understanding of reservoir engineering principles of secondary/tertiary recovery processes. Functional understanding of the effects of reservoir heterogeneity and production operations on flood performance
•Functional knowledge of petroleum geology, geophysics, drilling and production operation principles and their relation to practical reservoir management
•Computer literacy; experience with Microsoft Office products required; knowledge of technical software such as OFM and Eclipse are important
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a highly-collaborative, multi-cultural team environment
•Proactive, logical problem-solving skills with attention to detail
EDUCATION / TRAINING:
Bachelor's of Science degree (or equivalent) in Petroleum Engineering or closely-related engineering discipline is required
