R&D PROGRAM MANAGER
STEAM TURBINES FOR POWER GENERATION
BADEN, SWITZERLAND
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an R&D Program Manager, Steam Turbines to join the Power division of one of the world leaders in transport and energy infrastructure.
The Power Division, based in the beautiful town of Baden, Switzerland, is a large and well-established company specialising in electricity generation equipment and services and is one of the worlds leading suppliers in the field of power station construction.
As R&D Program Manager, you will be responsible for a group of R&D projects, using both external resources and internal resources from the R&D execution teams. In particular, you will take charge of the planning, implementation and communication of appropriate activities to ensure transparency of project status and the achievement of R&D targets. You will be required to coordinate and lead international and highly skilled project teams in Europe, China and India. In order to carry out these tasks effectively, you will be expected to undertake a limited amount of international travel.
Qualified to degree level in mechanical engineering, you will have proven experience in a technical engineering environment including some experience of managing of complex projects. A self-motivated individual with leadership ability, you will be to plan, motivate and drive a project team to achieve demanding goals under time pressure. Familiarity with MS Office and databases is essential. Good spoken and written French and German would be an asset.
German language classes will be on offer at an onsite language school and a willingness to learn is essential.
Famous for its thermal baths and historic town centre, the small but lively town of Baden is situated just twenty minutes from Zurich and the airport.
