Regional Health & Safety Manager
Package: £60-70k with full benefits package
Company: UK Main Contractor with London and South East Business, focused upon Building and Refurbishment projects across the region, typically Hotel, Leisure, Education, Health, Commercial and Government Projects.
Role: Health & Safety Manager, with responsibility for supporting operational management, with a focus to challenge and also to support people at all levels on HSE issues, using influence and persuasion, ultimately being able to demonstrate improvement through KPI'S.
The individual will be required to implement the Company Health and Safety strategy, ensuring that it meets both client and corporate requirements, and can be readily implemented by the management teams on the projects. Other requirements will be to deliver the H&S training programme and other project specific requirements; manage a programme of project safety inspections and audits; monitor the results of inspections; provide advice to the management team; and assist managers in accident investigation and the preparation of reports.
Reporting to the Region Managing Director and UK HSE Director.
Requirements: The successful applicant will have proven Health & Safety experience at both project and management level in a recognised organisation in the construction sector and must have a track record of achieving outstanding and sustainable HSE performance in a construction environment, the individual should be qualified at NEBOSH Diploma level or near equivalent and ideally a Chartered Health & Safety practitioner, must be computer literate and have previous building sector experience.
