The successful candidate will join the engineering systems team providing design appraisal services and specialist advisory support to external clients and colleagues world wide.
These services help our clients to develop sound designs for machinery, piping, refrigeration and pressure systems installed in shipping and other marine applications, ensuring safety of life at sea and protecting the environment.
Job Responsibilities
A Refrigeration Engineer is required to provide technical expertise to assist in the design and practical aspects of marine refrigerated cargo installations and for the carriage of liquified gas cargoes in the key growth area of LNG shipping.
Considerable innovation is being seen in this subject and it is important that our client is at the cutting edge of developments in industry.
The position offers the opportunity for the applicant to bring their experience to the team and to work with some of our clients leading specialists to develop across the range of activities.
Responsible for both design appraisal and technical support, you will be encouraged to contribute ideas and creative solutions to current refrigeration issues, emerging technologies and problems.
Job Requirements
Applicants should preferably be Chartered Engineers, or have qualifications leading to Chartered Engineer status.
Previous experience in design and installation in the marine refrigeration industry or land-base cold storage, would be advantageous. You should also be able to demonstrate commercial awareness and well-developed communication skills, as well as a sound understanding of refrigeration systems gained through hands-on experience.
