Railway Electrical Engineer
Salary and Location: The job will be based in York with a rate of up to £200 per day.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented electrification and plant engineer to work for an ever expanding international consultancy on some of their largest rail related projects within Yorkshire
Role Description:
You will be working as part of the Electrification & Plant Team responsible for the delivery of LV and HV Electrical solutions for clients. You will be primarily involved with rail projects however you may be required to work on projects outside of this field. You will be responsible for modifying and enhancing existing rail infrastructure to Network Rail standards/IEE regulations. You will assist in the layout of electrical systems and power supplies in the railway environment, to include for example points heating and platform lighting. You will be required to work within a large team and deliver to clients such as Network Rail.
Required Experience:
This role will suit an engineer with experience gained within an electrical engineering environment, ideally within the rail sector. They would be preferably be educated to at least an HND level, with familiarity of software packages such as Amtech or Hevacomp or equivalent.
