Comms Installation Systems Engineer required within the Systems Engineering Team (Range Extension & Vehicles) of a large defence organisation based in Basingstoke, for an immediate start 4 month contract

Key Tasks and Accountabilities
Design and develop radio communications systems installations for various vehicle, motorcycle, deployable and manpack configurations based on generic or RF Assembly, Power Supply Assembly and Ancillary / Harness Assembly designs

Key Tasks and Accountabilities
Design and develop radio communications systems installations for various vehicle, motorcycle, deployable and manpack configurations based on generic or RF Assembly, Power Supply Assembly and Ancillary / Harness Assembly designs
Negotiate procurement specifications for subsystems, equipment and cables with suppliers
Guide mechanical design and write test specifications
Negotiate with test houses as appropriate and manage testing
Write test reports providing evidence against system requirements
Includes hands on assembly and in-house testing, supported by technician, as necessary

This is an SC cleared project, so it would be an advantage for applicants to hold current security clearance
