Our client, a market leading design and development subsidiary of an international group, are globally recognised for their range of expertise in the field of digital telecommunications. They are now looking for RF Engineer / RF Design Engineer to join their team in Steeton, West Yorkshire.
This is a great opportunity as our client is keen to hear from applicants with varying levels of experience, from graduates to fully experienced RF Engineers.
As a RF Engineer / RF Design Engineer you will join their UK office which forms the European Headquarters of a multi-site European operation that specialises in the continual development of new technologies, product innovation and technical improvement.
Joining their highly skilled team, in this role you will be responsible for initial design specifications to mass production high volume designs. In addition you will work with in-house and OEM product designs, therefore you must have hands-on component design level and system design experience.
Reporting to, and working with a Hardware Section Manager, you will be part of a team that may interface with customers in the US, Europe and worldwide. This position may involve travel to Europe and the US.
Our client is keen to hear from candidates from a range of backgrounds, however to succeed as the RF Engineer / RF Design Engineer you must have the following:
- A degree and/or masters in engineering (or equivalent) and/or relevant experience in the industry
- Experience of RF designs involving QPSK, QAM, 8VSB and knowledge of future digital communication methods
- Experience of RF designs involving satellite receiver and associated hardware
- Experience and skills in the use and knowledge of RF test equipment
Additionally, you must be articulate and able to communicate effectively, and you will need experience in presenting and delivering reports. With your proven leadership skills, you will also need strong technical, analytical and interpersonal skills, along with proficiency using MS Office applications.
As the RF Engineer / RF Design Engineer you must also have a flexible, adaptable approach and a strong positive attitude coupled with the ability to work well within highly-focused teams with a global presence.
