You should have significant experience of Quantity Surveying within construction industry plus contract management & procurement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To manage the day to day bill of quantities for the relevant sections of allocated projects to ensure financial efficiencies
2. To provide advice and guidance to managers on achieving value for money
3. Responsible for the commercial relationships with subcontractors balancing the delivery of quality services with achieving best value for the business
4. To be absolutely focused on cost control in all aspects of activity in line with the business financial systems
5. To ensure effective integration with all aspects of projects and collaboration with project management teams to establish good communications
6. To liaise with the procurement teams as required to ensure compliance with financial parameters
7. To coach and advise Assistant Quantity Surveyors and Estimators to aid the development of skills in the business
8. To promote company values in all dealing with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contacts.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
• Significant experience in a Quantity Surveying role
• Experience of working in the construction industry
• Experience of managing external stakeholders
• Knowledge of contract structure and law
• Experience of contract management
• Procurement experience
• Knowledge of programme management
• Experience of managing a supply chain and subcontractors
• Experience of working in a cost conscious environment
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
• Spanish language skills
• Experience of working in an international organisation
