Description
Our client has been awarded a key Civil Engineering infrastructure package that will include the construction of innovative structures, roads and bridges as part of teh Olympic development.
Our client has been awarded a key Civil Engineering infrastructure package that will include the construction of innovative structures, bridges (pedestrian and transport) and new roads. This is a fantastic prestigious project that will allow the successful professional the opportunity to be involved form the beginning of the project through to its successful completion.
Key duties for the Quantity Surveyor include the following:-
• Main support to the Senior QS or Commercial Manager, looking after the commercial functions of a large section of works.
• Supervise Assistant and junior Quantity Surveyors and lead by example.
• Provide commercial input to the client.
• Commercial management of subcontractors including processing payments and inputting into issues that need to be resolved.
• Monitor cost of site resources.
• Produce monthly CVR's and quarterly reports.
• Provide commercial input and solutions to add value.
• Applications for payments in accordance with the contract.
• Provide commercial advice to the site team as required.
• Provide accurate and presentable commercial reports.
• Assist in reducing commercial risk.
• Provide input to risk profiling and management on projects.
