Description
My client is one of the world class employee-owned management, engineering and development consultancy. They have over 100 offices world wide and engage with every sector of the of the capital projects construction industry.
The company are involved in one of the largest and most exciting construction and engineering programmes in Europe. Franklin + Andrews have secured a long term high value contract to provide all cost management and control services to the client. Within this framework we need to increase our Cost Management team in order to meet the growing workload on what is a multi billion pound programme.
The role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain experience on a mixture of large and small interesting projects valuing up to £500m.
Candidate specification
Role:
Undertaking the spectrum of QS duties
Familiar with the commonly used forms of contract
To maintain and improve levels of service
Guidance, care and mentoring of subordinate staff where appropriate
Able to monitor internal and external costs, and asses their impact upon projects
Pre and post project contract control
Requirements:
Excellent Quantity Surveying track record with knowledge of both pre and post contract work.
The ability to represent the company in client meetings
Highly Organised and Professional
Experience of earned value would be an advantage
Computer literate ideally with experience on systems such as Oracle
A team player who is able work within teams but also use their own initiative
Able to report both internally and externally
Will to go through the governments security process and gain a suitable level of clearance
BSc/Chartered
Based in Reading
