Part of the Helix Energy Solutions Group, Well Ops (UK) Ltd provides the offshore industry with a single comprehensive resource to support well operation tasks.
We have an immediate vacancy for the position: Quality and Assurance SIL Engineer - Aberdeen
This position will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating the assurance perspective of the entire SIL Project. Duties and responsibilities include:
• Ensuring that all vendor supplied data information is delivered by the vendors according to the agreed delivery schedule
• Generating Documentation packs on the SIL components for Handover and Operational Manuals
• Performing all aspects of engineering design including concept development, preliminary design, design review, detailed design, material selection and CAD drafting
• Reporting all variations, shortfalls and scope issues to the SIL Project Manager
• Liaise with all SIL and CT engineering with an acute focus on the documentation details and delivery schedule for the documentation from a unit and system perspective
• Provide assurance support to Well Ops SEA personnel working on Well Ops Projects
The candidate must possess a Degree, HND or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and significant (at least 2 years) experience preferably in the oil and gas sector. They will have experience in design of mechanical equipment and hydraulics and possess excellent management, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
This is an initial 6 month assignment based in Aberdeen at the Well Ops Dyce facility
