Quality Technician

Responsible to Quality Manager

As part of the quality assurance team, the successful candidate will validate Customer complex components by using the Computerised Measuring machine (either by creating PCDMIS programs using CAD models or carrying out manual CMM checks to customer specifications)Main Responsibilities
•Programming new complex work using PCDMIS or CAD models or carrying out manual CMM checks.

•Programming new complex work using PCDMIS or CAD models or carrying out manual CMM checks.
•Prove out to First Article Inspection
•Validation of inspection reports to the Customer Standards
•When required, create manual inspection procedures/recording sheets which relate to associated drawings for CNC operators to follow for manual inspection competence
•Writing Operating Procedures/Processes for operators to follow
•deliver CNC operator training, including validating and recording operator competence
•With the Quality Manager; trouble shoot root cause quality issues, analyse Non-quality and see non-conformances through to resolution
•Production of management reports on all cause/effect in quality related issues
•Calibration of inspection equipment and Auditing of ISO system
•Undertake any other duties with your skill set as required Essential Criteria
•Experience in working with PCDMIS CMM software or equivalent
•Proven ability in reading, interpreting and understanding complex engineering drawings
•Sound understanding of geometrical tolerances
•Ability to plan, organise, implement and evaluate own work
•Experience in report writing through use of Word and Excel
•Sound communication skills
•Ability to use own initiative in working alone or as part of a teamDesirable Criteria
•HND in Engineering or a similar discipline
•Previous experience of working in an engineering environment
•Previous experience of communicating directly with customers
•Willingness to continue own learning and new company systems and practices
