As a result of strong sales and continued business diversification this leading electro-mechanical organisation operating in both the commercial and military sectors are seeking an experienced Quality Systems Manager for their prestigious manufacturing facility.
Through management of a small team of Quality Engineers and Inspectors you will be responsible for all aspects of the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management Systems within the company, ensuring the company is complaint with all the requirements of international standards ISO9001 and ISO14001.
This will encompass management of all associated internal and external audit functions of Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management Systems, spanning responsibility for Health and Safety including Risk and COSHH assessments.
You will work closely with all other departments to ensure that key company performance parameters can be monitored and assessed on a regular basis. This will include recording key quality parameters and informing departmental managers of the results, and use of parameters to provide an accurate assessment of the price of non conformance (PoNC) within the business.
The role has considerable autonomy and is a pivotal role within the business, so excellent communication skills are essential.
The appointed Quality Systems Manager will hold a CIQ Diploma in Quality or an equivalent professional qualification in QMS. A professional qualification in Electronics/Manufacturing would be an advantage as would experience of working within an electronic manufacturing environment. Certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA would also be considered advantageous. Must have experience of implementing and managing a ISO9001 QMS and knowledge of AS9100, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 would be an advantage. Understanding modern manufacturing techniques and principles such as lean manufacturing and SPC is essential along with ERP business process systems.
