A Quality Manager is now required to join this successful Swiss thermal waste management company which provide combustion energy recovery, flue gas scrubbing and residue processing.
As Quality Manager you will act as the Quality Assurance/Control Site representative. Reporting to the Site Manager on all quality aspects of the Works, you will keep the Site Manager informed of related activities on Site and prepare all letters on the subject for his approval.
Successful candidates will hold a HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent. You will also have sound knowledge of engineering theory and practice, particularly in respect of Power Station, Waste to Energy plants or the engineering construction industry. Detailed knowledge of welding and NDE techniques and the related standards, as well as familiarity with UK and European regulations and quality standards is necessary. Computer literacy, good interpersonal skills as well as a demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize are also essential requirements for this role.

As Quality Manager you will act as the Quality Assurance/Control Site representative. Reporting to the Site Manager on all quality aspects of the Works, you will keep the Site Manager informed of related activities on Site and prepare all letters on the subject for his approval.
You will regularly attend co-ordination meetings with the Clients Site management with the Site Manager; coordinating with all section engineers in the execution of the erection, commissioning, testing and handing over of the Works to the Client to highlight all possible contractual deviations/Changes as well as recommend necessary action in accordance with the Contract. You will render assistance to the section engineers in preparing all required Method Statements. You will implement the incoming goods acceptance test for the main deliveries of the plant equipment. You will undertake quality monitoring during the assembly of the plant equipment, as well as monitor performance of welding inspections and non-destructive examinations. Furthermore you will prepare and maintain the Site Quality Management procedures, preparing in co-ordination with the section engineers and maintaining the Quality documents for all Site Tests and Checks.
Your role will also involve conducting regular quality audits of the suppliers/sub-contractors, recommending all necessary remedial measures to ensure compliance and maintain records thereof. You will supervise and maintain all site Quality documents and ensure compliance. Also, you will chair all meetings with suppliers/sub-contractors on Quality issues. As Quality Manager you will also prepare weekly and monthly site progress reports and check all sub-contractors reports before submittal to the Site Manager. You will liaise with third party organizations (e.g. Notified Body) in intermediate and final inspections and proof tests as well as assist the Site Manager in monitoring the Project Completion Program ensuring that all potential and actual delays are identified, proposing remedies and ensuring that all sub-contractors activities are suitably coordinated.
