A Quality Manager is now required at this leading company in LED Technology to be responsible for all elements of the Quality Assurance process in support of their customers. For this role you will need experience within modern quality and manufacturing methodologies as well as the ability to provide the interface between this company and its key customers.

The Quality Manager has a key role in the company and reporting to the General Manager your main function will be to manage the Design Assurance and Manufacturing process elements of Quality, ensuring that customer requirements are fully researched, specified, implemented and tested. The job involves working as part of a team from product conception to successful operation in the hands of the customer.

As Quality Manager your position will involve the production and maintenance of all quality documentation; training colleagues in quality procedures and championing customer requirements and concerns. You will ensure that tests and procedures are properly understood, implemented and evaluated. You will undertake internal and external auditing, as well as establish the quality checking process for goods inwards and dispatch. As Quality Manager you will also review performance data to establish actions for continuous improvement. Furthermore you will work closely with purchasing staff and suppliers to determine quality standards and resolve issues.

One of the initial tasks will be to ensure that all procedures and controls are in place for the site to achieve accreditation to ISO 9001:2000. The successful candidate will be educated to HNC/Degree level in a relevant discipline and have experience of ISO 9001:2000 system methodologies and implementation. You will need High Reliability electronics assembly experience, DFMEA and PFMEA knowledge as well as process improvement experience. You will also be skilled in 8D problem solving and auditing.

Furthermore, you will be experienced in New Product Introduction procedures and controls and QOS; measurement system methodologies. You will also be skilled in collating and reporting Quality Data within an integrated MRP system. The role also requires skills in Microsoft Office. Proactive and self motivated, you will have experience of working to tight deadlines in an assembly/test production facility.

Line management experience and experience within the manufacture and testing of LED Lighting, General Lighting or Electronics products would be desirable.
