Our client, a Major Supplier of Components to the Aerospace and Automotive Industries are currently looking for a Quality Engineer to be based in Swindon.

Job Purpose/Overview
A position has arisen for a Quality Engineer to support the Materials Division manufacturing plants.


Job Role
- Provide a Quality Support service to the Materials manufacturing facility.
- Provide effective Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions to non conforming products & processes .
- Monitor, review and report key Quality performance indicator metrics.
- Provide communication to customers and colleagues regarding quality failures or system requirements.
- Progress corrective actions from inception to completion.
- Support and progress business quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure quality objectives are achieved.
- Support the company's system audits.
- Assist in maintenance of the company QMS approvals.
- The position will report to the Quality Manager.


Requirements
- Degree qualification (preferred) or HNC (minimum), or other relevant professional qualification, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Quality Assurance.
- 6-Sigma experience, preferably of Greenbelt standard or above.
- 8D problem solving.
- Minimum of two years experience in a Quality Assurance role gained in an automotive or aerospace environment.
- Experience with ISO9001:2000, TS16949 or AS9100
