We have a Quality Engineer role on Carrier Alliance Project based in Bristol.
To address quality issues particularly CVF, Warship Management System (WMS) in accordance to ISO 9001.
Working in a matrix organisation with responsibility to the Superplatform Programme Manager for managing and co-ordinating all quality assurance activities across the Superplatform team. Responsible functionally to TNL Quality Manager for ensuring policies and standards are implemented and maintained.
Development and maintanance of WMS of the WMS processes, templates and tools across the team to support quality and delivery.
Maintanance of ISO9001 certification
Conducting internal audits and system reviews in accordance with an agreed programme to verify compliance with procedures and identify improvements.
Creating and maintain key platform delivery team documents
Provide regular communication, input advise and coaching of the Delviery team personnel to achieve a common understanding of Quality Management Plan and maintain consistency in the application of TNL and ACA processes and procedures
Evaluating quality reports and recommending corrective, preventative and improvement actions
Coordinating feedback from the team for updating the WMS
Liasing with other QA representatives from the Alliance
Reporting to the TNL Quality manager on progress and issues relating to quality
Provide procurement with QA/QC inputs to the supply chain contracts
Attend alliance, subcontractor and supplier meetings
INterfacing with and supporting external audit bodies including LRQA, Lloyds, GQAR, NAO in the execution of their assessments and reviews.
Working knowledge of ISO9001
Knowledge of DEFSTAN and DEFCON relating to product quality
Previous experience of working in large programmes and multidisciplinary project teams
Demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining ISO 9001 compliant management systems
