Yorkshire Fittings is an integral part of this diverse, multinational, customer focused business with operations in U.S.A, Europe and the Far East.
As Quality Engineer, you will be astute and motivated with a keen eye for detail and commitment to effective communications at all levels and you will hold an HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering/manufacturing discipline.
The role of Quality Engineer requires hands on daily shop floor interaction; therefore an understanding of lean manufacturing principles, production processes and mechanical principles would be advantageous.
Performing in a manufacturing-based role, you will be required to undertake project based work to improve the quality performance of the factory and its associated processes.
You will be expected to utilise process improvement and problem solving techniques (such as 5-Why's, Ishikawa and the 8D's) and to perpetuate the use of modern Quality systems (such as APQP/PPAP, FMEA, SPC and Poke Yoke) within the NPI and manufacturing environment.
Requirements:-
Proven 'Quality Engineer' background
Motivated with a keen eye for detail
Commitment to effective communications at all levels
Quality systems (such as APQP/PPAP, FMEA, SPC and Poke Yoke) within the NPI and manufacturing environment
HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering/manufacturing discipline.
