A Tier 1 automotive supplier needs a Quality Engineer Developing the Quality processes, procedures and controls for the development and manufacture of their product. Providing the necessary Quality Engineering function to the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To assist in introducing into production a quality assured product to demanding customer and legal specifications, and participating in APQP's with all parties involved.

To support the development of APQP Controls to quality assure the product from concept to production.

Develop control plans and parts/process verification check/audits, assisting in developing D & P FMEA's and with the submission of customer approval documentation (PPAPs/PSWs).

Lead in-house and at suppliers/customers on containment and problem solving.

To generate a Quality status report each month.

To implement and maintain a robust quality management and improvement system.

Any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Quality Manger Operations.

EDUCATION/TRAINING

Qualified in an Engineering discipline to ONC level or equivalent

Computer literate

EXPERIENCE

A proven practical experience in a recognised Quality role

Working knowledge and experience within a Quality Engineering environment

Proven experience of working within a team

KNOWLEDGE

Sound knowledge of operational issues within a manufacturing environment

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Able to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers and suppliers at a high technical and basic level

Excellent presentation skills

Able to work effectively in a pressurised environment
