Our client has been in a leadership position in the fire alarm industry. Today, they are the largest manufacturer of engineered fire alarm systems with over 400 distributors worldwide, and regional support operations on every continent.
Purpose of the Job:
- The Quality Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Manager in providing a complete Quality service to both internal and external customers.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Understanding And Maintaining ISO9000 Quality System Requirements
- Understanding And Maintaining Product Quality Regulatory Requirements
- Generation And Analysis Of Key Performance Metrics
- Identification And Correction Of Highlighted Quality Issues
- Preparing Quality Reports
- Facilitation Of Quality Improvement Processes
- Customer Product Returns Improvement
- Supplier Quality Assurance
Education and experience:
- Degree or equivalent in an electrical / electronic engineering discipline
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in quality assurance, preferably in an electronics design / manufacturing environment
Technical Skills & Specific Knowledge Required:
- Knowledge of and experience in working within an ISO9001 framework
- Six Sigma exposure to Green Belt level at minimum, Black Belt preferred
- PC literate MS Office main packages (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Behavioural Competencies Required:
- Highly self motivated
- High competence in oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
Language Requirements:
- Fluent English primarily, however additional European language(s) an advantage.
