Main Tasks & Responsibilities
• Investigation and progression of Recall or Service Campaign issues from the initial identification through the global decision making process and consequently to deployment to the companies Regional Business Units.
• Coordinate subsequent Reoccurrence Prevention Activity for any Campaign issue with the relevant area(s) of Manufacturing, Design or Supplier.
• Manage Port Modification activities with SCM.
• Negotiate and confirm liability of campaign costs.
Experience and Skills Required:
The ideal Quality Engineer will be self motivated with proven ability in the application of problem solving skills for root cause analysis and concern resolution along with Project/Management Co-ordination.
To manage processes into the Market Place and look at Regulations
Able to work autonomously with clear focus on company and departmental objectives.
Have a high level of self-discipline and good organisation skills for effective progression of Recall & Service Campaign issues.
Good verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills for leadership of cross-functional teams, both internal and external.
Capable team worker.
Working knowledge of MS software packages such as Word, Excel & Access is essential.
Flexibility to travel within Europe, sometimes at short notice.
Language skills would be an advantage (European or Japanese).
You must be educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering or technical discipline.
Possess a wide knowledge and experience of the aspects of the automotive design and production process (ideally including design, manufacturing and supplier related activities).
Proven experience of concern analysis and problem solving in terms of generating the most effective and efficient corrective actions.
Ideally:
- Experience of Warranty, Service Parts, SCM, Sales & Marketing etc.
- Experience of Quality Assurance tools and techniques.
- Experience of CARS, N-FIT, RSS, NEWS, SCOPE, etc.). (Preferred)
Awareness of the specific automotive safety requirements and regulations both within the European market and also globally
Customer orientated approach and able to work autonomously with clear focus on company and departmental objectives.
A high level of self motivation as well as the ability to motivate others, both internally and externally.
Proven ability to operate cross-functionally at all levels within the organization and have a clear understanding of health and safety responsibilities as an employee.
