Quality Assurance Engineer - required for this international supplier to the aerospace (civil & defence) and military vehicle markets.
Key Duties will include: Ensuring that the customer's requirements for quality & performance are identified, agreed & met in a cost effective manner. Act as focal point for product quality issues, ensuring wherever possible action are taken in a timely manner to prevent product and service non-conformance. Assume the role of customer representative in design reviews, safety reviews, technical reviews and progress meetings. Contribute to the review & improvement of product and business processes. Help staff implement actions that will realise the changes to the management procedures. Ensure that suitable & effective quality control measures are being exercised. Perform quality audit's of the Company's processes to ensure compliance with recognised quality management standards i.e. AS9100B, EASA Part 21 & Part145. Build & maintain relationships with key suppliers and ensure regular surveillance and verification activities are performed. Ensure that preventative actions are taken in a timely manner and are effective in eliminating the causes of non-conformance in the quality system and products. You will be required to represent the Company, both formally and informally, as and when required.
You will be HNC/D qualified. Familiarity with systems & software development processes and manufacturing process & techniques is important. You will need experience of business improvement techniques. Also Microsoft office applications and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Current driving licence.
