We are currently looking for a QA supervisor with previous quality assurance experience within the food industry, to join a leading food manufacturer in Northamptonshire.
Principal Responsibilities:
To run and organize the QA Raw Materials Incoming Goods team to ensure adequate resource is available to inspect incoming raw materials.
To develop and maintain internal relationships with peers in other disciplines to enable cross functional co-operation
To conduct other reasonable tasks allocated to support functioning of the Raw Materials department.
Time cannot be apportioned to specific responsibilities due to the uncertain nature of the role, coupled with customer prioritisation.
Risk assess sampling protocols to ensure specifications are met.
Desirable Qualifications, Experience & Training:
Degree (preferable), alternatively Formal Food Hygiene Training would be required.
Minimum of 2 years relevant supervisory experience in the food industry within a QA team; ideally within the chilled food industry.
Knowledge of a wide cross section of raw materials would be preferable.
Experience in a supervisory position would be preferable.
Demonstrable experience in working under pressure and working with other departments to find solutions.
Formal HACCP training would be a benefit
Good Level of IT skills is essential.
