Description
Objective
To manage and lead the purchasing activities required to support the successful introduction of New Model Programme introduction
To ensure all activities are aligned to the purchasing strategy of delivering significant value in the form of improving cost, quality and supplier performance
To develop, implement and manage the Emerging Market Sourcing Strategy required to support and exceed current business objectives
To develop, implement and manage the strategic direction for all systems and processes required to support all purchasing activities and deliverables
To ensure accurate and fact based KPIs are created and managed across the department
Responsibilities
Management and Development of the New Model Programmes team
Liaison with all areas of Programme and Purchasing teams
Representation of Purchasing at Programme Steering Team, Programme Gateways
Co-ordination, reporting and presentation of key Purchasing metrics to support all deliverables
Qualifications/Experience
Education to Degree Level or equivalent
Previous Purchasing Experience at a managerial level is preferable
Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and to deal with changing priorities
Excellent interpersonal skills having a high degree of confidence to perform the role consistently
