PURCHASING COORDINATOR - INTERIM 18 MONTH CONTRACT - EAST YORKSHIRE / HUMBERSIDE- AROUND £25,000 PER ANNUM DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

The company
- The company are world leader in the production of specialist additives used in the pharmaceutical and personal care industries. They have a specialist facility in the Humberside area with nearly two hundred employees comprising of research, engineering and operations. The role is to provide cover for maternity leave for the existing purchasing specialist. However, this is a rapidly expanding company so there is a strong possibility that the role will extend beyond the initial 18 months.
Role
- Oversee the running of the purchasing department, including line management duties for 3 other administrative staff.
- Ensure all raw materials are received on site on time and in the right quantity.
-Oversee the maintenance and coordination of existing purchasing procedures.
-Some maintenance of SAP systems.
Requirements
-Purchasing experience from within manufacturing.
-Some familiarity with SAP would be beneficial but not essential.
- Good organisational and negotiation skills.
-Ability to lead others.
