Description

As a Protection & Commissioning Engineer you will be undertaking design reviews and working with the design team to develop detailed and accurate designs. You will also be involved in the planning and roll out of commissioning work, testing and plant acceptance testing.

The company is an Electrical Engineering and Contracting business delivering both HV & LV Electrical solutions to a number of high profile clients nationwide .The company boasts experts spanning the disciplines of design, construction, installation and commissioning and they pride themselves on delivering customer focussed solutions.

The company has won a number of Contracts relating to the design and installation of electrical infrastructure on a number of the Olympic sites. As a result of these project wins they are now looking to build a highly experienced, professional and focussed Project team.

Based in East London and on sites throughout London, the company are looking for a Protection & Commissioning Engineer. As a Protection & Commissioning Engineer you will be undertaking design reviews and working with the design team to develop detailed and accurate designs. You will also be involved in the planning and roll out of commissioning work, testing and plant acceptance testing.

This varied role requires individuals who have acquired operational experience as an authorised person, before working their way up to Commissioning Engineer level..

To be successful you must have be all of the following:

Educated to a minimum of HNC in an Electrically biased discipline.

Will have undertaken the Power System Protection Course

A technical understanding of the principles of distribution engineering design and operation up to 132KV.

An Experienced Commissioning Engineer OR A Senor Authorised Person who has undertaken a wide range of work experience equipping them with the competence to become a commissioning engineer.

A strong knowledge of CDM Regulations
