Proposals Engineer - Tyne & Wear
Review received tenders both technically and commercially; analyse customer provided data and develop technical solutions that exceed client expectations whilst enhancing chances of securing an order
Conduct bid / no-bid and risk analyses and qualifying each opportunity before proceeding
Development of bid strategy and subsequent implementation
Management reserve the right to assign or re-define duties and instruct the post holder to carry out any other duty commensurate with this post.
Proven skills in the development of complex commercial and technical proposals
Liaising with other department at various stages for all aspects of the tender preparation from the receipt of client tender documentation to the final internal tender review and submission
EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Required:
Qualified to Degree level in an Electrical Engineering or equivalent Discipline
Minimum of 2 years in a proposals/tendering role or 5 years previous experience in an electrical site or estimating role
Experience in power distribution, petrochemical or process environments
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a proven team player.
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
Preferred:
Previous experience of preparing the commercial bid analysis, working closely with engineering departments in the completion of the bid analysis summary.
Second language capability is desirable
Driving license
£25,000 to £35,000 Dependent upon experience
