Our client is looking for a Project Manager that will ideally possess previous experience of initiating, managing and delivering significant capital projects/contracts within a manufacturing / engineering environment, and be able to demonstrate previous experience of implementing contracts with an understanding of penalty clauses and supplier performance criteria.
This position represents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Projects Contract Management professional to join a well established and growing company with a trusted quality product range, supplying a varied customer base with material handling solutions. The successful applicant will be managing contracts with values ranging up to £2 million throughout the UK. (There may be some overseas travel required)
The main duties and responsibilities of this role, reporting to the Commercial Director are:
Managing specific contracts from the selection of equipment to the successful commissioning of new equipment to time and budget.
Preparing project plans and risk assessments and method statements for submission to customers.
Preparing of project costing, controlling of budgets, monitoring of project progress against agreed milestones and advise site management on the preparation of contracts/installation.
Liaison with production.
Continual interface with customers both on and off the customers site.
KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
The successful Project Manager will ideally possess previous experience of initiating, managing and delivering significant capital projects/contracts within a manufacturing / engineering environment, and be able to demonstrate previous experience of implementing contracts with an understanding of penalty clauses and supplier performance criteria. Additionally, a good working knowledge of a formal project management system, e.g. MS Project and proficiency in all MS Office packages will be distinctly advantageous, with a successful track record in delivering projects on time to budget and to specification an essential requirement.
With sound commercial and business acumen, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and to stringent deadlines, you will possess excellent inter-personal skills, able to influence, persuade and negotiate with all levels of people effectively. A Full current driving licence is required for the position which is a permanent post and will be based in Loughborough, Leicestershire.
