Project Managers are now required at this leading renewable energy company in Swindon to be involved in their offshore wind projects. Our client is currently in the process of building its next large offshore wind farms and as Project Manager you will be involved in both the early development and late construction phases, thus seeing the entire project through from start to finish. During the development phase the Project Manager will help to ensure that the project can be built safely and economically. During the construction phase the Project Manager will ensure that construction is managed to meet health and safety, environment, cost, programme and quality targets and meets the requirements of the Project Sponsor.

Our client is currently in the process of building its next large offshore wind farms and as Project Manager you will be involved in both the early development and late construction phases, thus seeing the entire project through from start to finish. During the development phase the Project Manager will help to ensure that the project can be built safely and economically. During the construction phase the Project Manager will ensure that construction is managed to meet health and safety, environment, cost, programme and quality targets and meets the requirements of the Project Sponsor.
Working in the Offshore Project team the Project Manager will be responsible for a wide range of activities. This will include the development of procurement; construction strategies and technical options for the projects and incorporation of these into an Environmental Statement. You will manage contracts for construction of Meteorological Data Collection Masts, the carrying out of geotechnical and geophysical Site Investigations. You will also be responsible for the management of feasibility and design studies and the development of technical specifications, assessment of tenders and of contractor competence. You will undertake tender technical assessments; construction management and assessment and recording of project risks into the project Risk Register.
Your employment history may include working for large construction companies, power, oil and gas companies or general engineering consultancies and you will have project management experience and good interpersonal skills. You should be qualified to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline and have experience of working on large construction projects in multi-discipline teams.
