Project Manager - Oil & Gas / Petrochem - Tyne & Wear
To direct and manage medium to large projects through liaison with new and existing clients to ensure that completion is achieved within budget and agreed timescale.
To establish project technical requirements through regular liaison with new and existing clients.
To direct and manage design and site based resources to meet project time and budgetary constraints.
Represent the company in engineering design discussions with, for example, Clients and sub-contractors
Have complete ownership and accountability (including commercial responsibility) to ensure the successful execution of a number of challenging medium to large international projects (< £1M).
Manage groups of designers and engineers within the projects who could be based throughout Europe and/or the Companys Indian Design Centre.
Regularly monitor actual project progress against initial agreed schedule instigating corrective measures where necessary to ensure deadlines are met to ensure client satisfaction.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Required:
Qualified to Degree level or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
In excess of five years Project Engineering experience obtained in a process environment (preferably within the Oil, Gas or Petrochemical industries).
Computer literate proficient in a wide variety of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Project)
Preferred:
Some knowledge of power distribution and/or Thermal applications.
Previous experience of international assignments.
Full driving licence
Second language capability
