Description
Our client is a leading manufacturer of control systems for Gas and steam turbines. The company is internationally renowned and manages a large portfolio of multi-national customers. A position has become vacant in the Project Department for a Project Manager to work on a Nuclear Retrofit project in Canada.
Due to the size and nature of the company the role involves a hands-on approach to Project Management. An individual who has a strong engineering background and has come from a design background would be ideal.
Project management:
-Control and management of the project throughout its lifecycle.
-Interface with clients on commercial and technical issues.
-Identification and allocation of resource.
-Management and control of project budgets.
-Control of sub-contractors.
Engineering:
-Co-ordination of project design from customer specification to final handover
-Production of design and test specifications from customer specifications.
-Conducting project & design reviews,
-Management of works and factory tests.
-Management of Installation and commissioning.
Essential Requirements:
Good Project Management Skills
Good communication skills
Control system design experience
Experience of PLC control systems ideally Allen Bradley
Must be willing to travel
Desirables Requirements
Driving licence and own vehicle
Project Management qualification
Qualifications:
Degree level qualification
