We are recruiting for a Project Manager to work for a leading defence company. The project will be until January 2010.
The Rail and Infrastructure
eam is about to undertake work involving the installation of a cladding system and its supporting structure throughout the Station. This work is being conducted as part of a wider Station modernisation programme. The client has a requirement for a Project Manager to manage its related projects.
The work involves the management and leadership of the project team, which will essentially comprise design engineers and subcontractors, to ensure that they deliver its works safely, on time, within budget and to the quality required.
Ideal candidates for this role will have had several years experience of working in the rail environment and be familiar with working procedures, including QUENSH. They will have direct experience as a Project Manager, with good communication skills and drive and determination to get the job done.
They should be a good team player, with the ability to get on with people at all levels; at the same time, they will need to be extremely robust and be prepared to confront people in difficult situations should the need arise.
Candidates will need to be able to think on their feet and have the ability to respond to queries from the installation team, making decisions on the best way forward when the need arises.
Preferably candidates must hold an LU Entry Permit, a Passport to Safety and be at least Full Members of the APM.
