PROJECT MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION EDUCATION PROJECTS - DERBYSHIRE
£40K - £50K Plus package including:
"Car Allowance £4k - £5k
"4% non contributory pension
"Healthcare
The Role
As Project Manager you will take responsibility for two projects at any one time, from design stage through to the completion of snagging. Initially you will take one project through the preliminary design stage where the fittings for the projects are designed and manufactured. This will be done in conjunction with the main contractor on site. Once this project goes to site you will begin the design process of the second project.
The Project Manager will be charged with securing all sub contractors from a pre determined list as well as procuring all commercial resource internally i.e. Estimators, Buyers.
As Project Manager you will also take responsibility for the finances and become more responsible for the overall margin. You will also be expected to deliver regular status reports.
The Person
The Project Manager will exude confidence and remain calm under pressure. Ideally you will have a strong Project Management background with extensive experience of working in a construction environment as a Project Manager.
You will be methodical, process driven, strong at planning and with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Our client manufacture and install fittings to a number of sectors but predominantly education.
In the last 6 years they have increased their turnover by 400% and are looking to continue and maintain their growth in 2008. To do this they are looking to expand their workforce by recruiting top quality Project Managers.
Our client act as a subcontractor to many of the top construction companies within the industry such as Balfour Beatty, Laing O'Rourke and Carillion.
