Our client is looking to recruit a Project Manager to look after the construction of a bridge as part of the civil engineering Olympic infrastructure projects. This scheme is suited to a candidate that can manage projects between £8m and £15m and take responsibility for leading and managing the site team. Commercial and contract awareness are key attributes required as well as the ability to lead a team effectively. Well suited to a candidate looking to work for a regional contractor.
Key duties for the Project Manager include, but are not limited to the following:
•To profitably complete projects in accordance with the clients specifications and to ensure client satisfaction where possible
•To plan resources and in a timely and cost effective manner
•To coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division
•To manage effectively the site team including subcontractors within a safe culture
•To jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff
•To liaise with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc for future benefit
•To deliver project schemes profitably and to time to enhance the companies reputation and look to further business with the client
•Demonstration of structured progression on heavy Civil Engineering Projects
•Ideally degree qualified.
•UK driving license essential.
