Our client require a Project Manager to be based in Lancashire, North West ENGLAND with frequent travelling and overnight stay in Bristol and frequent visits to RAF Conningsby. This role is within the Typhoon Availability Service Manage Business Team, responsible to the Delivery Phase Project Manager.
The ideal candidate will be a experienced Project Manager to develop the Typhoon Availability Service implementation plans in support of the bid. Subsequently manage the implementation packs, co-ordinating many senior stakeholders from BAE Systems and RAF, to mobilise the availability service at Coningsby in readiness for service start.
Responsibilities:
- Initially creating and managing the TAS Implementation Management Plan leading to stand up of the TAS Service at Coningsby in Jan 2009.
- The developing the plan for Full Service Delivery in annual service updates through to 2013.
- Responsible for co-ordinating long lead funding requests to enable service start.
- The implementation plan must be co-ordinated across the four Service Delivery Streams (Maintenance and Fleet Planning, Asset Management, Training, Weapon System Support), Facilities Management and IT Management to ensure integrated plans are generated and managed. - The Plans must also be aligned with the GFX and solution design activity.
- The job holder will have a 5 year background in Project Management, and will have strong project planning and stakeholder management skills.
- They will be required to work across the joint BAES/RAF Service stream leads.
- Experience in a support environment is desirable.

A strong Project Management background is a essential Implementation of Aircraft Availability Service and Experience of Support Environment are both desirables.
