This Client are a multi-disciplined, providing professional consultancy services in civil, structural and building services engineering. Also Incorporating specialities in marine, railway, geotechnical, geo-environmental, traffic and transportation engineering.
At present they are looking for a Project Leader
KEY SUCCESS AREAS
Attend project briefings, prepare project plans and finalise contract review process to
ensure the successful completion of each commission
Undertake the project management and technical duties delegated by the Project Director
Secure and manage resources to achieve programme and make the Project Director
aware of delays
Manage internal and external resources to achieve agreed technical, programme and
financial outcomes
Undertake project reviews, record actions and ensure that these are closed out
Work within the management system and identify and recommend opportunities for
continuous improvement
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare proposals for new and extended commissions and present to Project Director
for approval
Attend project briefing with Project Director, receive delegated authority for a project
and prepare project plan
Ensure that team and personal skills are appropriate to the project and raise any
queries with the Project Director
Complete contract review process and raise job number
Manage commercial arrangements with clients and third parties as delegated by the
Project Director
Undertake the duties of Project Leader as described in the management system
Undertake day to day liaison with the client and keep the Project Director informed
of project progress, potential delays or problems and opportunities
Prepare monitor and update project programmes and manage resources in accordance
with Company procedures for project management
Manage and support technical resources to achieve overall project objectives for quality,
programme and cost
Undertake project and technical work in accordance with agreed programme
Accurately complete timesheets and other reporting requirements and submit in accordance
with reporting dates
Approve timesheet and other project records for staff working on projects
Prepare monthly invoice reports and gain approval for issue from Project Director
Ensure that Health and Safety requirements are discharged on projects
Agree personal development plan with Line Manager and take responsibility for delivery
of objectives
Other ad hoc duties which may be required
Comply with the Company's policies and requirements of the management and other
systems
