PROJECT ENGINEERS/PROJECT MANAGERS
INTELLIGENT TRANSPORT SYSTEMS
BASED ESSEX
As a Project Engineer/Project Manager, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the collation and analysis of traffic data and produce transportation reports and capacity modelling including Linsig and Transyt. You will be involved in the project management of Intelligent Transport Systems and traffic signal installation schemes. You will be required to lead and develop project teams, including Assistant Engineers, and Technicians with the design and installation of Intelligent Transport Systems and traffic signal schemes and lead with the development of CCTV and video data capture and traffic information systems. You will also be required to monitor financial status and progress of schemes to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget. Intelligent Transport Systems is an integral part of their business and is the UK's premier ITS consultancy dealing in particular with travel planning and they are actively seeking to broaden their business in terms of new technologies. You will be able to exceed customer expectations by being involved with high-tech solutions that can produce significant efficiencies whilst also delivering environmental benefits.
Ideally HNC or HND (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline or equivalent, you will be competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word and computer literate with the aptitude to learn new software packages. As Project Engineer/ Project Manager, a full driving licence is essential, as is the experience of working within an Intelligent Transport Systems field. Experience of design and / or installation work within the Intelligent Transport Systems field and sound project management experience is required. You will have a professional manner, a flexible attitude and have the ability to show initiative and examples of creativity.
