Project Engineers are now required to be responsible for providing the team with a vision and strategy for achieving the overall project goals and targets. You will also manage all aspects of the Project on a day-today basis to ensure that all technical, programme and cost issues are executed according to the company standards. This will involve exercising strict control of the Project Cost and Human Resource Levels, ensuring that the Project Milestones are achieved within the cost profiles and to the required quality.
You will regularly report to Management on Project Performance identifying Key Risks and Achievements. You will maintain the necessary technical and safety standards defined for the Project, ensuring that the project meets the end users Performance, Quality and reliability requirements. You will also be responsible for the management and maintenance of the document control procedures appropriate to the Project Requirements. You will manage the development of Mass Production Equipment and Line specifications taking into consideration process requirements.
Able to lead a mixed discipline team including outside suppliers, you will be familiar with all aspects of the Project Life from Concept to Mass Production. You must have substantial experience in a Powertrain Environment (including Machining Process). You must also have an understanding of Engine Machining Process and how that then relates to Equipment Specifications. You must have a proven ability to work on a number of complex interrelated issues. You will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Powerpoint. Experience of working with Turn Key/ Sub Contract Companies including Development & Management would be an advantage.
