Responsible for the generation, execution and maintenance of the engineering management plans and schedule for all phases of the engineering lifecycle.
Day to day directing to engineers, establishing roles and responsibilities for the engineering team.
Ensuring that the design and development tasks are undertaken using defined and agreed standards and methodologies. Including the use of structured tools.
Establishing and implementing the process improvement across engineering and the business as agreed with the Heads of Business and Heads of Function.
Ensure all engineering requirements are managed effectively.
Collect, analyse and report the project metrics to demonstrate adherence to plans and agreed estimates
Establishing an effective communication network within the team, flowing down project goals and engineering commitments and managing progress.
Education and Experience
1st Degree - Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
In depth knowledge of military development programs lifecycle, requirements and specifications analysis and generation, and cost analysis
Hands on management experience in design and development of military equipment.
