Project Manager / Project Engineer / Senior Project Manager

This company is the world's leader in its market, with a 10% market share, a Turnover of over £100 billion and over 300,000 staff.
The company strategy is to build its capability of sourcing own raw materials and therefore increase project margins. A new division has been set up for over 12 months, where new mining sites in Africa have been bought. You will oversee and project manage the construction of a fully operational mine.
Your role
1.) Management of on site engineering work
2.) Management of project engineering and design by consultancy for project implimentation
3.) Set up Maintenance scheduling once operational
4.) Manage Contract Negotiations and agreements
5.) Manage costs and materials
This diverse role, will involve working in a dedicated team of project engineers and managers. You will spend up to 50% of your time travelling to 2 key mining projects in West Africa for the first 12 months and then you will undertake further projects Worldwide. Travel away will be in short stints of a few days or weeks, with the rest of your time based at the Central London office.
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified, in Mechanical, civil or related engineering. Have extensive project management experience with an understanding of projects and design of mining infrastructure, rail , ports , and / or process plants.
Career development is reviewed and planned, with training bespoke to the individual needs. Many employees have undertaken external qualifications such as chartership or MBA's.
