Our Client requires a Project Engineer to assume full technical responsibility and accountability for the assigned projects. Working as part of the project team, ensure that projects are completed on time and to the appropriate standards. To support the sales activities through provision of background programme data, timing and programme costs. To exceed the customer expectations and create strong image for Client as a key member of the project team Key Duties/ResponsibilitiesTo lead the client programmes as the technical voice of the customer within client base.To work closely with design and development teams to ensure programme objectives are met on timeTo work closely with production suppliers to ensure effective support of client programmes and meeting of cost targetsTo support the programme manager in the preparation of programme plans and budgets and the writing of technical proposalsTo provide accurate forecasts of the work outstanding on the projectEnsure that project risks are quantified, managed and suitable risk management & mitigation strategies employedEnsure that any scope changes on the projects are quantified, recorded and translated into cost and timing variances to the project scheduleEnsure effective communication between client and customer project team and programme management staff. HNC, HND or Degree in Engineering, Control Systems or similar. BSc/BEng in Mechanical Engineering. Travel involved with recovery time included, Regular European and UK travel (2-3 times a month), occasional long haul travel to USA and the Far East.
