Project Engineer
KPJ Recruitment have been trading since 1974. We specialise in Technical Engineering placements covering Mechanical & Electrical, Civil and Structural disciplines.
Our client, based on the outskirts of Blackburn, are the market leader in Europe designing, manufacturing and installing bespoke CCTV mounting structures.
We require a Project Engineer, with a relevant background in the metal working industry to work as part of a busy production team managing varied and interesting projects.
Duties include the full project management role, from taking the order from sales team to invoicing stage Liaising with customers / suppliers / subcontractors / foremen. Assess material type and quantity needed, along with ability to calculate time taken to undertake jobs. To assist in the design of new products and look towards ways of increasing productivity and efficiency.
Although no actual draughting or estimating is required in this role, previous CAD experience would be advantageous - Welding or Fabrication background / knowledge is essential. Good computer literacy.
Graduates may be considered from either an engineering educational background or more hands on courses such as HND or equivalent or Candidates who are time served tradesmen and have office / admin experience.
An excellent rate of pay is offered for the right candidate. Permanent, or Contract, or Temp to Perm are available.
